The SID-US Lightning Talk Contest provides an opportunity for any SID-US member to have a voice and a platform. Create and submit a short (3-minute max) TED-style talk (not a commercial for an organization, project, or product) on your idea or topic related to international development. Pick a topic or idea that is near and dear to your heart. Some have expressed an opinion and others have been a call to action. Past participants have ranged from seasoned leaders to young professionals and students. Topics have touched on many issues, some focusing on a specific sector, others on cross-cutting issues of concern. Anything goes.
The theme for this year is “Power Shift: Defining the Next Decade of Development”
