About SID-Washington
SID-Washington is the largest and most active chapter of the Society for International Development (SID), an international network founded in 1957 to serve as a global forum dedicated to sustainable economic, social and political development. SID-Washington serves as a “global town square” for the international development community, bringing together people from diverse organizations, disciplines, and career stages in a neutral, independent forum to share information and discuss important issues and challenges facing our community. This unique space cuts across all sectors of development covering humanitarian, stabilization, transition and long-term development. We work to enrich the exchange of knowledge and development innovation through unique programs, events, outreach and networking activities.
