The SID-US Lightning Talk Contest provides an opportunity for any SID-US member to use our platform to broadcast their voice. Pick a topic or idea related to international development that is near and dear to your heart, and create a short, TED-style talk to submit to this contest. The top three finalists will be featured at our 2023 Annual Conference on May 24 to hundreds of attendees across the world.
Past submissions have expressed an opinion and others have been a call to action, and past participants have ranged from seasoned leaders to young professionals and students. Topics have touched on many issues, some focusing on a specific sector, others on cross-cutting issues of concern. Anything goes!
The theme for this year is Power Shift: Defining the Next Decade of Development.
