Guidelines
- 3-minute Limit: Your Lightning Talk must not exceed 3 minutes. Video entries longer than 3 minutes will be automatically disqualified.
- Topic and theme: Topic must be related to international development and the Conference theme, World in Crisis: Sparks of Hope.
- No advertisement or company promotions: Please avoid submitting commercials, promotions, or advertisements. Tell a story or share an idea that inspires others. Any hint of advertising will count against your entry.
- One video entry per person: If multiple entries are submitted, only the first one received will be considered. There is no limit to the number of entries from one organization as long as they are submitted by different people. And again, they should not be focused on the organization and should be more personal to each presenter.
- Members only: You must be a SID-US member and your membership must be valid as of submission date through the Conference on April 26, 2024. Individual members and employees of Institutional Members of any age may participate. If you are not a member and are interested in joining, learn more here.
- No team presentations: Team presentations will not be accepted this year.
- Winners featured at Annual Conference: The top three finalists will be featured at the SID-US Annual Conference on Friday, April 26, 2024. We will play the winning videos as submitted during the Conference and posted online. Videos may not be edited after submission.
