2023 Innovation Competition
Sponsored by Accenture, this year’s Innovation Competition focuses on the Conference theme: Power Shift: Defining the Next Decade of Development, and the competition is open to anyone in the international development community to pitch their innovative ideas, early-stage projects, and actionable solutions that will empower locally-led actors to transform development.
Finalists and winners will be invited to present at the Annual Conference via a virtual session to showcase their innovative ideas, early-stage projects, and actionable solutions.
The winner(s) will receive an engraved trophy from SID-US and Accenture.
The 2023 Innovation Competition will require individuals, teams, or organizations to include a pitch deck to address the required and optional elements below and a 100-word summary via this form. The deadline for submissions is Saturday, April 29 at 11:59 PM (EDT).
How to Participate
Step 1: Create your pitch deck (Max. 5 slides)
Step 2: Submit your deck through this form no later than Saturday, April 29 at 11:59 PM (EDT). You will need to provide your name (and team members, if applicable), the title of your innovation, your pitch deck, and a 100-word blurb about your innovation.

- This competition is open to anyone. Membership with SID-US is not required to participate in the Innovation Competition. Students are particularly encouraged to participate in bringing the perspective and ideas of the next generation of development practitioners.
- Finalists and winners will receive certificates from SID-US. No monetary award will be associated with the competition.
- Submissions sent after the deadline of April 29, 2023 at 11:59 PM (EDT) will not be considered.
- SID-US has the right to publish the entries and accompanying videos on its website and social media and will credit the participant(s).
