Eva Matsiko

Eva Matsiko has more than 25 years of professional development experience across diverse sectors and countries, including experience conducting Applied Political Economy Analysis and embedding principles of Thinking and Working Politically across sectors in Tanzania, Rwanda, and Uganda. She is currently providing technical assistance for the USAID funded and RTI-managed Read Liberia. Recently, from to 2012 to 2021, Ms. Matsiko served as the Chief of Party for the Governance, Accountability, Participation and Performance (GAPP) Program in Uganda, jointly funded by USAID and DFID, which focused on leadership; accountability and fiscal transparency; and local government (LG) financial management, planning, and budgeting and service delivery, particularly related to health systems. GAPP included formal PEAs and TWP throughout the life of the project. A lawyer by training, Ms. Matsiko is adept at engaging and communicating effectively with a wide range of community and national-level counterparts and other stakeholders for locally-led development.
