​Heather Bateman is an Investment Director in DFC’s Office of Development Credit, where she originates highly developmental transactions aligned with USAID goals and priorities, primarily in the West Africa region. She has nearly 15 years of experience in impact investing, blended finance structuring, and international development program management.
 
The U.S. International Development Finance Corporation partners with the private sector to finance sector to finance solutions to the most critical challenges facing the developing world. DFC invests across a variety of sectors, including energy, healthcare, infrastructure and technology. DFC provides financing for small businesses and women entrepreneurs to create jobs in emerging markets.
