Kate Bunting
Board Member, SID-US and CEO, Indigo Advisors
Kate Bunting has been an advocate and campaign strategist for women’s health and fighting global poverty for 30 years. Currently, she is the principal at Indigo Advisors, an advocacy strategy and communications consulting business. From 2014 – 2020, Kate served as the CEO of HelpAge USA, promoting the rights and inclusion of older people in humanitarian and global development programs. Previously, she served as the Deputy Assistant Administrator for Public Affairs and Director of Stakeholder Outreach at USAID during the Obama Administration. She also served as the Managing Director at the U.S. Global Leadership Coalition and spent 17 years working for CARE USA, directing legislative and policy efforts focused on global health and U.S. foreign assistance. Ms. Bunting received her Master’s degree in International Affairs from American University and is an alumni and fan of the Clemson Tigers where she earned degrees in Political Science and Spanish.
