Lasitha Perera
Co-Founder and Managing Partner, The Development Guarantee Group (DGG)
Lasitha Perera is a Co-Founder and Managing Partner of the Development Guarantee Group (DGG), the only dedicated guarantee platform focused on designing, developing and operating guarantee solutions and companies that can effectively mobilise private sector capital towards funding development and sustainability challenges.
Lasitha has developed DGG’s first initiative, The Green Guarantee Company, which will use guarantees to mobilise climate finance into developing countries from global capital markets
Prior to founding DGG, Lasitha was Chief Executive Officer at GuarantCo from 2017 to 2021 and formerly its Chief Investment Officer, responsible for GuarantCo’s investment activities globally.
Prior to joining GuarantCo, Lasitha was an Investment Director of Total Capital, a private equity fund, where he was responsible for new investments and represented the fund on the Boards of portfolio companies in the UK and the Nordic region.
He started his career at Barclays Capital where he worked in a variety of debt capital market roles in London and New York for nearly ten years.
