Mahmoud Khalil works as a Program Manager at the Syria Office in the British Embassy in Beirut. He leads the Syria Chevening Program, the prestigious UK government international scholarship scheme.
Prior to joining the British Embassy, he worked with Jusoor, a Syrian-American educational nonprofit, where he held several roles including Finance and Operation Manager responsible for running the finances and operations of educational centers, and as a Scholarship Manager leading Jusoor's regional scholarship initiatives.
He also served at the Youth Advocacy Board of the Global Partnership for Education, a multi-stakeholder partnership and funding platform that aims to strengthen education systems in developing countries.
Mahmoud holds a BSc in Computer Science from the Lebanese American University (LAU), and a diploma in leadership from Columbia University in New York and he is continuously looking for innovative solutions using technology to support the education of out-of-school children.
