Michael Kapps is the CEO and founder of Vitalk Health, a Brazil-based social impact venture that creates AI-powered virtual health assistants (www.vitalk.health). Vitalk's mission is to make mental health and primary care more accessible by applying innovative new technologies to traditional therapy and health coaching. Vitalk's text-based assistants currently monitor and triage more than 200 thousand primarily low-income patients. Michael was Fortune's 40 under 40 in Healthcare for 2020 and was a "top 30 under 30 innovator" from MIT Technology Review (LATAM). Before founding Vitalk Health, Michael worked at McKinsey & Company. He graduated with a BA in Economics from Harvard College in 2012. Michael is a Canadian citizen but he was born in Russia and has been living in Brazil for 6 years.
