Michèle Laird, M.P.A., is a Regional Managing Director at Abt Associates providing strategic direction and oversight for Abt’s international development operations in Central Asia, South Asia, Southeast Asia, Eastern Asia, Middle East, Gulf States, North Africa, and Eastern Europe. In this role, she ensures technical and operational excellence of ongoing projects and directs acquisition of new work and development of staff, including supervising and coaching senior technical and program staff. Portfolio sectors include health (health systems, health finance, TB, RMNCH), agricultural market systems, nutrition, economic growth, clean energy, climate change, and governance.
Laird has extensive experience implementing projects across Africa, Asia, Latin America, Middle East and Eastern Europe. She holds an ScB in Computer Science from Brown University, an MPA from the LBJ School of Public Affairs/University of Texas at Austin and is an FS-UNEP Certified Expert in Climate and Renewable Energy Finance.
Laird has extensive experience implementing projects across Africa, Asia, Latin America, Middle East and Eastern Europe.
