Country Managing Director, Crown Agents Zimbabwe

​Muchaneta Mwonzora is the Country Managing Director of Crown Agents Zimbabwe, overseeing operations of key projects that bring about positive and sustainable change in Zimbabwe. She has over 20 years’ experience managing complex health systems strengthening programmes and currently leads a team of over 120 people, working across all 10 provinces. Some of Muchaneta’s key achievements include being the Team Leader for the GBP 30 million DfID-funded contraceptives procurement and distribution programme which saw reduction of stockouts from 40% to 1%. Muchaneta also co-designed and directs the USD50 million Results Based Financing (RBF) in Health programme, which has contributed to a 52% reduction in maternal neonatal and mortality since inception in 2014. She has led the USD200 million Human Resources for Health Retention Scheme Project which saw attendance rates at public health institutions shoot up from 20% in 2008 to 99.98% in 2018 and was awarded Development Project of the Year Award at the 2011 British Expertise Awards.
