Rosa Rodrìguez Jaramillo 

Country Director, Heifer Ecuador

​Rosa Rodriguez Jaramillo is Country Director of Heifer Ecuador and strongly believes that smallholder farm production and sustainable, local food systems can provide the answers to current crises. Originally from Ecuador, she has worked in Uruguay and Ecuador for more than 25 years in women and Indigenous peoples’ organizations at the local, regional and national levels. As a researcher, program and project officer, and in management she has worked with national and international and multilateral cooperation organizations in the fields of rural development, gender, communication and natural resources. She has been with Heifer Ecuador for 18 years.

Rosa graduated in Uruguay in Development and Communication and holds a postgraduate degree from the UASB in Communication for Development, with a specialization in gender and local development.
