Socheat is the Executive Director, Sansom Mlup Prey Organization in Cambodia. He has a bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics and Rural Development from Royal University of Agriculture in Cambodia and a master’s degree in Sustainable Rural Development in Tropic and Sub-tropic Area from the University of Life Sciences Prague in Czech Republic. Socheat worked as Research Assistant at Royal University of Agriculture for 2.5 years focused on rice farming system in Cambodia, involved Accelerating the Adoption of Stress-Tolerant Varieties (ASTV) research project with IRRI and implementing Sustainable Rice Platform and Ibis rice (organic wildlife friendly) project for 6 years.
