Sophia is the Senior Technical Advisor, Participation and Women’s Movement building at the International Rescue Committee (IRC) based in Nairobi. She has a master’s degree in Gender and Development Studies, and 20 years’ professional experience in the development and humanitarian sector working with International and National NGOs. She offers technical oversight on advancing participation and inclusion of children, adolescents, and women through working with local, national and regional women led organization and movements at the Violence Prevention and Response Unit of IRC.
